In the spring it has frangrant white blossoms that attract pollinators, juicy purple berries in summer, which are a favourite of birds, and in the fall the leaves turn to beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow.
The Saskatoon Serviceberry prefers full to partial su and moist, well-drained soil.
