Allegheny Serviceberry -
2 year seedling / 12-18" (30-45cm)
Allegheny Serviceberry, Amelanchier laevis, also known as smooth serviceberry, is a versatile small tree or large shrub valued for its year-round beauty and ecological benefits. Growing up to 9-12 meters, it thrives in moist, well-drained soils and partial to full sun.
In early spring, it bursts into fragrant white flowers that attract pollinators, followed by sweet, edible berries loved by birds and ideal for jams or fresh eating. Its striking orange-red fall foliage adds seasonal interest. Smooth serviceberry supports wildlife and is a great choice for naturalized landscapes, hedgerows, or as an ornamental focal point.
